1. W.S.I.B Claims Control Management

Our firm can assist your staff by communicating with the W.S.I.B. to maintain your firm's continued diligence in your Early and Safe Return to Work (E.S.R.T.W.) efforts, which ultimately reduces accident costs.

Our firm can provide recommendations for a more thorough and productive claims management system at your site. We will help ensure that your firm maintains an E.R.S.T.W. campaign, in keeping with the W.S.I.B. policies and procedures.

2. Management Consulting Services Including On-site Assistance

Our firm can provide onsite attendance on a scheduled or "as needed" basis. We are available to participate in your Early and Safe Return to Work meetings and can liaise with your firm's medical/first-aid staff throughout the Early and Safe Return to Work process.

3. Accident Investigation Reporting

Our firm can assist your firm in developing a detailed Accident Investigation Report, or amending what you have, to work with your unique business activities. This will help ensure complete accuracy when completing the W.S.I.B. Form 7.

4. Form 7 Reporting

Our firm can assist you with the completion of the Form 7, while maintaining compliance with the W.S.I.B. policies and W.S.I. Act. We can help ensure that Form 7s are completed on time, are accurate and are in keeping with the W.S.I.B. policies and procedures. We can make sure you tick all the necessary boxes.

Our firm can assist you with the development and implementation of a modified work program, based on your firm’s business activities.

We can make recommendations for each unique situation and offer assistance throughout the Early and Safe Return to Work process, and work with you and the W.S.I.B. 6. Preparation and Presentation at W.S.I.B. and W.S.I.A.T. Appeal Hearings

We offer knowledgeable and professional representation at W.S.I.B. and W.S.I.A.T. Appeal Hearings. We can provide representation either written and/or oral.  We are experienced with the W.S.I.B. and W.S.I.A.T. Appeal Hearing process.   During these times when many are working from home, oral hearings are held via Video Conference.

7. W.S.I.B. Penalty and Assessment Appeals

Our firm is familiar with W.S.I.B. penalties and assessments which may be levied, from time to time, against the employers in Ontario. Once your firm has identified a penalty and/or assessment discrepancy, we can initiate an appeal to the W.S.I.B.   Generally speaking, situations resulting in penalties could range from a failure to comply to reporting obligations, through to failure to comply with re-employment obligations.

8. NEW Premium Rate Adjustment Framework

Our team can help you understand how the new framework figures are impacted by your firm’s claim costs.  Keeping the accident costs under control and the number of accepted claims at a minimum is essential to keeping your firm’s unique premium rate as low as possible.

9. Risk Exposure Analysis (N.E.E.R. program)

The N.E.E.R. program and other incentive programs (C.A.D -7 and M.A.P.P) ended after September 30, 2020 and were replaced by the NEW Premium Rate Adjustment Framework.

There may still be time to benefit from applications for cost relief on your firm’s N.E.E.R. account, and obtain a refund.  Our team can analyze past statements and locate potential savings on high cost claims, and work with you to seek cost relief and any resulting credit.

10. Education through Seminars and Presentations

We can meet with your firm's personnel with the purpose of education surrounding specific areas of concern, for example, reporting procedures and obligations.
